My name is Andrea Turchi, Bologna, Italy. Just when I was at the University (a quite traditional course of Hydraulic and Hydrologic – aka Environmental Engineering) computers started having a screen. Wow! Since then I decided I would ever use them in my job. I chose every course I could about them. Automation, developing and modelling were my bread.

Now I like the idea to talk a little about the extraordinarily interesting things I have come across: Windows and Linux, .Net and C#, PLC and Arduino, relational databases and NoSQL, Scrum and Agile methodologies, Wi-Fi city networks and open source everywhere, but also pipes and holes, gauges and house connections, water plants and…
